Emily’s Trick or Treat to Cure Crohn's & Colitis is an annual event created to remember a beautiful friend, Emily Moore.
Emily bravely fought colitis for half of her life. From the time she was first diagnosed, the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation was a helpful and accessible resource to her and her family.
On March 23, 2017, at just 35 years old, Emily passed away following a courageous battle with appendiceal cancer. Emily was the mother to two beautiful children, a devoted wife, sister, daughter, and friend. This annual event allows all of the people who loved Emily and the entire community to celebrate her incredible spirit and support a cause that was dear to her heart.
Emily lived her life in a way we all aspire to emulate. She devoted herself to family and friends. The love for her two children, Hallie and Jordan, and husband Kurt, fueled her unwavering courage to fight until her final breath. She was full of spirit and humor and had a special way of bringing joy and fun to any occasion. Emily treasured the friends she made and the experiences she had at Camp Barney Medintz where she was a camper and a counselor for developmentally disabled children. Through her own children, she connected with the warm, supportive community at The Davis Academy in suburban Atlanta.
Please join us as we honor Emily's memory, support the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, and enjoy the fun of Halloween.
