The Purple Bag Project

Halloween Happiness Delivered: Bringing Halloween joy to children in need.

Emily’s Trick or Treat to Cure Crohn's & Colitis provides Halloween fun to hundreds of kids, but unfortunately there are many other children in the community who don’t get to experience Halloween at all.

THE PURPLE BAG PROJECT is a way to expand the reach of Emily’s Trick or Treat to Cure Crohn's & Colitis and deliver Halloween joy to those children.

Since 2023, we have delivered 1,000 bags to the Atlanta Community.

For a donation of just $36, we’ll provide a child with a purple tote bag filled with Halloween-themed goodies including toys, crafts, and candy!  Our “Emily's Junior Leadership Crew” will then hand-deliver these bags to local hospitals, homeless shelters, foster care and more.

Emily's Junior Leadership Crew

Ever since the inception of Emily's Trick or Treat in 2017, we held a vision for the day when Emily's children would actively participate in this cherished event. In 2021, that vision became a reality with the launch of "Emily's Junior Leadership Crew." Comprising motivated middle school children, this dedicated group seeks to deepen their understanding of philanthropy while actively contributing to the success of Emily's event.

The Junior Leadership Crew plays an indispensable role in the event's planning, fundraising, and execution, ensuring its continued growth and impact.

Nurturing the next generation of philanthropists has always been a core belief of ours.
We strongly believe in instilling in our children the significance of giving back, the value of tzedakah, and the power of active engagement in community service.

This year marks an exciting milestone as our Junior Leadership Crew unveils their newest creation, "The Purple Bag Project"!

As part of their meaningful Bar and Bat Mitzvah projects, three exceptional members of our Junior Leadership Crew will spearhead this new initiative.
